So, I went along to The Globe last night to support some mates in their endeavour to create... noise. It was pretty fucking ordinary (sorry lads, it's true. Take heart that almost every other band was about 1000x worse). Worse, I was one of about three people there not wearing clown makeup and fake blood, and the crazies seemed offended by my very presence. Seems that the experimental scene is full of fucking nutjobs (I really should've known).
That said, the band that followed on from Silent Partners were fucking amazing. Really. Fucking. Amazing.
The Tango Saloon, featuring Danny Heifetz from Mr. Bungle and calling Mike Patton's Ipecac Recordings home, play some of the craziest and awesomeist (if that ain't a word yet, it should be. Patent pending!) tunage I've heard since... well, Mr. Bungle. If you mosey on over to their myspace page you can stream a half dozen tracks of auditory ecstasy.
Honestly, listening to this shit makes me wonder if someone spiked my beer...
